Lee Jun-hyuk to Star in New SBS Occult Drama 'Awakening'
Actor Lee Jun-hyuk has confirmed his role in the upcoming SBS drama 'Awakening'. Previously, Lee collaborated with actress Han Ji-min in the SBS drama 'My Perfect Secretary', which concluded in February last year.

'Awakening' is an occult exorcism drama set in the cutthroat world of academic competition, where students, lured by the promise of better grades, fall prey to stimulants. These students begin to hear the voices of the dead and awaken a terrifying ability that leads to the deaths of their peers. In this hellish environment, a priest risks his soul to save the children.

In 'Awakening', Lee Jun-hyuk takes on the role of Antonio, a new priest at Holy Spirit High School. Antonio, who piques the curiosity and anxiety of the students, is actually an exorcist ordained by the Vatican's Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith. Dispatched to Holy Spirit High School to investigate demonic activities, Antonio encounters bizarre incidents and dedicates himself to tracking down the entity responsible for dragging the students into a deadly race.

This marks Lee Jun-hyuk's first foray into the occult genre since his debut. Known for his diverse roles in dramas like 'Stranger', 'Designated Survivor: 60 Days', and the film 'The Outlaws 3', audiences are eager to see how he will tackle this new genre.

'Awakening' is set to air next year.
