Actress Cha Joo-young recently shared insights into the misunderstandings she faced early in her career and her true personality.

On the 27th, Cha Joo-young appeared as a guest on Sung Si-kyung's YouTube channel.

During the video, host Sung Si-kyung introduced Cha Joo-young by saying, "Her reputation in the industry is excellent, with no negative remarks." In response, Cha Joo-young explained, "I try to convey uncomfortable stories in a pleasant way, but I can't always pretend to be nice." Sung Si-kyung agreed, adding, "You're not one to grovel, are you? That's similar to me."

Cha Joo-young also shared anecdotes from her early days as a rookie. She acknowledged that she was aware of her personality being prone to misunderstandings at the start of her career.

Cha Joo-young recalled, "When industry people advised me not to change even after becoming famous, I would reply, 'I don't think I'll change because this is my true personality.'" She continued, "I wanted to show my true self because pretending to be someone else could cause problems later."

Sung Si-kyung responded by saying, "It's similar to how my acquaintances say I've been consistent from the beginning," and added, "I treat people I know sincerely, but I don't grovel to those I don't know."
