K-pop group IDY is making waves in the global music scene with their latest single 'Mono (Feat. skaiwater)'. After the lukewarm reception of their previous track 'Good Thing', all eyes are on whether they can achieve greater success this time around.
Released on the 27th, the digital single 'Mono (Feat. skaiwater)' quickly climbed to the top of various charts, including Melon HOT 100, the latest release charts, and Bugs real-time charts. It also secured the 5th spot in YouTube Korea's trending music section, marking its presence on major domestic music platforms.
The song's impact extends beyond South Korea. It topped China's QQ Music digital album best-seller daily and single weekly charts, as well as Tencent Music's Korean chart. On iTunes, it reached number 1 in Peru and number 2 in Hong Kong, among top positions in 12 regions, and entered the Worldwide Song Chart.
The music video, featuring performances by Pendulum Art and Mega Crew, has also garnered significant attention. It ranked 1st on QQ Music's Korean music video chart and 3rd on the overall chart. Notably, it claimed the top spot on YouTube's Music Video Trending Worldwide and was the 'Most Viewed Video in 24 Hours' in five regions, including Korea, the US, and Russia.
'Mono (Feat. skaiwater)' conveys a message of focusing on one's self without being conscious of others' perceptions. The track features British rapper skaiwater, who collaborated with IDY on this release.
IDY plans to continue promoting their new single with an appearance on Mnet's 'M Countdown' on the 29th.
