Yoo Yeon-seok Shares Memories of His Father, a Seoul National University PhD, on SBS's 'Anytime'

Yoo Yeon-seok, known for his roots in the prestigious Gangnam 8th school district, recently spoke about his father, a Seoul National University PhD graduate, on the latest episode of SBS's 'Anytime,' which aired on the 27th. The show achieved ratings of 5.4% at its peak, 1.4% among the 2049 demographic, and 3.9% for households. The episode featured hosts Yoo Jae-suk and Yoo Yeon-seok, along with 'Anytime Friends' actors Lee Sun-bin and Kim Young-dae, bringing energetic laughter and good fortune to a boarding house in Bongcheon-dong and the Seoul Inheon Elementary School baseball team.

Lee Sun-bin captivated the audience with her commanding presence, taking on the role of the 'spicy sister' for her younger brother Kim Young-dae. She shared stories from her time living alone and anecdotes about her brother, leading the conversation with ease. Recalling her first time living alone in Bongcheon-dong, Lee mentioned, "There's a karaoke place I used to visit four times a week. The neighborhood vibe is just the same," and expressed her enthusiasm for finding a lunch spot.

Yoo Yeon-seok also shared memories of Bongcheon-dong, revealing that he lived there briefly due to his father, an engineering professor. When Yoo Jae-suk asked if his father attended Seoul National University, Yoo Yeon-seok confirmed, "Yes, because of his PhD." He added, "Both my father and brother are engineering graduates, so I often have nothing to contribute to their conversations." Yoo Yeon-seok's brother is a math instructor.

The first 'Anytime' guest was a boarding house owner who has been a second mother to her boarders for 26 years. She prepared gifts for the show, adding warmth to the atmosphere. The mission was a relay game called 'Kids, Let's Eat!' where participants had to flip a bowl on a plate to succeed. Lee Sun-bin emerged as the ace with her one-shot-one-kill skills, while Kim Young-dae brought laughter with his nervousness whenever he held a plate.

The group passed the second stage on their third attempt and succeeded in the third stage on their eighth try, turning the boarding house into a festive scene. The guest expressed her gratitude, saying, "Thanks to you, I've made unforgettable memories." Lee Sun-bin, thrilled by their first success, exclaimed, "I can't stop humming. I could do this until 10 PM. Please invite me again," showing her enthusiasm.

Yoo Yeon-seok bonded with Lee Sun-bin and Kim Young-dae over their acting experiences. When Kim Young-dae shared that he doesn't eat much during drama shoots, Yoo Yeon-seok empathized, saying, "If I'm full, I can't capture the emotions. I need to be hungry to feel the sorrow," sharing his real-life experience. The conversation peaked with stories about 'Yoo Jae-suk's beloved younger brother' Lee Kwang-soo. Kim Young-dae mentioned meeting Kwang-soo recently, saying, "Every word he says is hilarious. I laughed all day," to which Lee Sun-bin joked, "Didn't he learn everything from Jae-suk?" Yoo Jae-suk proudly added, "That's right. Kwang-soo learned variety from me," causing laughter.

The second 'Anytime' guest was a member of the Seoul Inheon Elementary School baseball team. The young guest expressed his wish for more teammates, showcasing his innocent charm. The mission was 'Fist Baseball,' where participants had to knock down milk cartons by hitting a ball with their hands. Yoo Jae-suk, initially worried about their elementary school jinx, quickly shifted gears, shouting, "Let's go with spirit!" and succeeded in the first stage, sparking excitement. Lee Sun-bin used her 'jang-pung' technique to hit the milk cartons, with the kids enthusiastically cheering, "Jang~pung," uniting everyone. Although they didn't pass the second stage, the kids beamed, saying, "Today was amazing."
