In this episode, Seon Jae-kyu and Yoon Bom, who were secretly expressing their affection, were caught by Jeong Jin-hyeok (played by Bae Jeong-nam), a teacher at Shinsu High School. Seon Jae-kyu pleaded with Jeong Jin-hyeok to keep their relationship a secret, even going so far as to kneel before him. However, Jeong Jin-hyeok proposed a secret deal, demanding an investigation into Choi Yi-jun's (played by Cha Seo-won) manager, Oh Seong-tae (played by Lim Soo-hyung), in return.

Later, Jeong Jin-hyeok instructed Seon Jae-kyu to lose in a jiu-jitsu match. Seo Hye-sook (played by Jin Kyung), who was watching the match, was shocked by Seon Jae-kyu's lack of strength, exclaiming, "Did uncle collapse?" Jeong Jin-hyeok also played a supportive role for Yoon Bom, subtly protecting her from Seo Hye-sook's suspicions at school.

Meanwhile, Yoon Bom had a tense encounter with Seon Hee-yeon (played by Son Yeo-eun). Sensing Seon Jae-kyu's lie about being an insurance planner, Yoon Bom visited his house and discovered that Seon Hee-yeon is Seon Jae-kyu's sister and the biological mother of Seon Han-gyeol (played by Jo Joon-young). Yoon Bom, unaware of Han-gyeol's situation of not knowing his mother is alive, tried to persuade Seon Jae-kyu, saying, "If I were Han-gyeol, I would have lived my whole life wondering where I came from, whose body I was born from, and whose blood I was made of."

Amidst this, a sudden typhoon hit Shinsu-eup, heightening the drama's tension. Choi Yi-jun, Choi Se-jin (played by Lee Jae-in), and other villagers gathered at Seon Jae-kyu's house, the only place with power. When Seon Jae-kyu noticed Yoon Bom was missing, he braved the storm to find her. At that moment, a signboard nearly fell on Yoon Bom, who was in danger while retrieving a gift box from Seon Jae-kyu, but he saved her just in time.

Concerned only for Yoon Bom, Seon Jae-kyu tried to remain composed, warning her against reckless actions, but he couldn't hide his tears, revealing his true feelings. Yoon Bom responded with a loving cheek kiss, and their subsequent kiss filled the scene with excitement.

However, the sweetness was short-lived as another storm loomed. Seon Han-gyeol discovered an inheritance division agreement sent by Seon Hee-yeon in Seon Jae-kyu's room. The episode ended with Seon Jae-kyu's eyes filled with turmoil and Han-gyeol's face contorted with anger as he questioned, "Seon Hee-yeon, that's the name of my mom who supposedly died in a fire. Is she alive?"
