Hyun Bin Addresses Jung Woo-sung's Acting Controversy and Shares Insights from 'Made in Korea'
Hyun Bin recently addressed the acting controversy surrounding Jung Woo-sung during an interview held at a café in Samcheong-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul, on the 27th. The interview was part of the promotional activities for the Disney+ original series 'Made in Korea' (written by Park Eun-kyo and Park Joon-seok, directed by Woo Min-ho).

Set in the 1970s, 'Made in Korea' explores the tumultuous yet progressive era in South Korea. The series follows 'Baek Ki-tae' (played by Hyun Bin), a man who aims to reach the pinnacle of wealth and power by using the nation as a business model, and 'Jang Geon-young' (played by Jung Woo-sung), a prosecutor who relentlessly pursues him to the edge.

When asked about Jung Woo-sung's acting controversy, Hyun Bin cautiously stated, “It's a sensitive topic for me to comment on. I believe the senior actor is aware of the issue and is contemplating it.”

Hyun Bin also expressed gratitude for the support he received from Jung Woo-sung, saying, “He offered many ideas on aspects I hadn't considered on set. Beyond the details, he shared insights on the overall scenes.”

He continued, “We had numerous discussions, whether during rehearsals or on-site editing. We still engage in such conversations. With his extensive experience and different perspectives, having even directed before, he helps identify things I might miss. It's enjoyable and beneficial to communicate continuously during filming. It's a set where we discover elements beyond the script. The director, more than anyone, is exploring new aspects, and everyone is working in that spirit.”
