In the exclusive interview, Sang-cheol and Young-ja reunited after the show's conclusion to share behind-the-scenes stories and updates. Reflecting on his time at Solo Nara 29, Sang-cheol recalled his dilemma between Young-ja and Ok-soon. He admitted, "Both had their charms, making the decision difficult, but after watching the broadcast, I deeply regret not choosing the precious Young-ja."
Sang-cheol particularly expressed remorse, saying, "I regret being distracted and not recognizing the gem that Young-ja was," adding that not only he but also his father and friends were disappointed in him for missing the opportunity with Young-ja.
In response, Young-ja explained, "I decided to move on when I felt Sang-cheol's affection had waned." During the interview, the two joked about their current relationship, suggesting progress, but clarified they remain just good friends. Sang-cheol mentioned that they still meet for drinks or coffee, maintaining their friendship, but reiterated his regret, saying he wouldn't miss the chance with Young-ja if given another opportunity.
When asked by the production team if there was still a chance, Young-ja firmly replied, "The bus has already left," indicating no possibility of a romantic development. Sang-cheol expressed his regret over losing such a valuable connection, admitting he was too immature at the time, while Young-ja concluded the situation with a firm yet humorous denial of any future possibilities.
Previously, there were speculations on various online communities about Sang-cheol and Young-ja being the married couple from the 29th season of 'I Am Solo.' However, the revealed married couple was Jung-sook and Young-chul.
