On the latest episode of MBC's 'Hangout with Yoo,' aired on the 24th, Heo Kyung-hwan and Kim Kwang-kyu showcased their rivalry over a permanent spot on the show.
In the 'Let's Play Genie' segment, the cast, along with Heo and Kim, traveled to Jeju Island to fulfill Choi Hong-man's wish.
Upon arrival, Yoo Jae-suk and Kim Kwang-kyu were the first to reach Jeju and handled the opening segment alone. Yoo Jae-suk teased Kim about the difference in attitude between being a regular and a guest, to which Kim confidently replied that there is indeed a difference.
The rest of the members were delayed by over an hour. Kim jokingly complained about waiting for guests despite not being a regular himself, boasting about the numerous guest appearances he has been offered. However, he soon expressed his desire for a permanent spot, to which Yoo advised that he needs to showcase his wit and effort.
Yoo Jae-suk humorously remarked on the challenge of doing the opening with Kim alone, calling it the biggest crisis since the show's inception. Kim, smiling, teased about taking over the show and jokingly apologized to Heo Kyung-hwan.
Heo admitted feeling anxious due to Kim's presence, expressing his concern about maintaining his position. Yoo later described Kim as a 'scene-stealer' to the other members, while Joo Woo-jae playfully teased Heo about forgetting his regular status.
Joo Woo-jae reminisced about his first appearance on 'Hangout with Yoo' in Jeju three years ago, which led to his regular spot on the show, raising expectations for the island's luck.
With Kim as a formidable rival, Heo expressed his anxiety about his journey so far. When Choi Hong-man cautiously asked Heo about offers from other shows, Haha jokingly warned him about conflicting schedules. Heo firmly stated his commitment to 'Hangout with Yoo,' while Kim humorously encouraged him to explore other opportunities, causing laughter.
