Actor Lee Pil-mo's past revelation about his family's financial journey is once again capturing public attention.
Lee's story of entrusting his earnings to his mother for 20 years, which led to her becoming a property owner, has resurfaced, drawing significant interest.
In a 2024 episode of Channel A's variety show 'Best Friends Documentary: Four-Person Dining Table,' Lee praised his mother's exceptional financial acumen. He admitted, "I'm not good at managing money," and shared that his mother had wisely invested in real estate, including a house in Bangbae-dong.
He expressed gratitude, saying, "My current financial stability is all thanks to my mother." Lee also revealed, "My father never worked after having three children, living a carefree life, while my mother was always frugal. I gave her all my earnings over 1 million won for 20 years."
Lee continued to express his appreciation, stating, "I always sought my mother's advice for important life decisions, and she always provided clear answers."
Lee's mother passed away in 2023 due to a stroke. He shared on the show, "I wanted to do everything I could for her final journey," explaining that he spared no expense in arranging her funeral.
Lee's heartfelt confession has recently gained renewed attention, sparking discussions on trust in parents and family financial management.
Meanwhile, Lee Pil-mo and his wife Seo Soo-yeon, who met on TV Chosun's variety show 'Taste of Love,' are married with two sons. The family has also appeared on TV Chosun's 'Taste of Wife.'
