Kim Jaejoong recently caught attention by praising actor Moon Sang-min's appearance.
On the YouTube channel 'Jae Friend' run by singer Kim Jaejoong, a video titled 'The Familiar Taste is Scary, Welcome to the Cliché Restaurant with No Waiting' was uploaded.
In the video, Nam Ji-hyun and Moon Sang-min, the lead actors of the drama 'Beloved Bandit,' made an appearance. Upon seeing Moon Sang-min, Kim Jaejoong remarked, "His hands are really big and he's tall," and jokingly asked, "Is that why he's called 'door guy'?" showcasing his visuals. He also mentioned to Nam Ji-hyun, "When I was getting my hair and makeup done today, they said you seemed kind."
Kim Jaejoong continued, "I saw Moon Sang-min at the shop and thought he really has an idol-like appearance." To this, Moon Sang-min confessed, "I wanted to be an idol." Kim Jaejoong responded, "But you're handsomely pretty."
At this point, the production team asked Moon Sang-min why he couldn't become an idol. Kim Jaejoong speculated, "It might be because of his height." Moon Sang-min added, "I'm too tall," and hesitated to elaborate. When asked why being too tall is a disadvantage for idols, Kim Jaejoong explained, "You have to balance with the members. While there are groups where everyone is tall, if a shorter member is chosen, it disrupts the balance when standing together," showcasing his expertise as an idol.
Nam Ji-hyun commented, "But you became an actor." Kim Jaejoong asked the two, "Did you meet for the first time in the drama, or did you know each other before?" and "What was it like when you first learned about your co-star when the drama was fixed?" Moon Sang-min replied, "Before this project, I was binge-watching 'Shopping King Louie,' and when I heard I would be working with her, it was fascinating. I've watched a lot of her works, so even though it was our first meeting, I felt an internal closeness."
Moon Sang-min also shared, "I get a lot of motivation from watching male idol fancams," and "When I don't feel like working out, watching cool male idol friends' fancams sparks a competitive spirit in me, and their coolness becomes a motivator."
He further revealed his admiration for Kim Jaejoong, saying, "I've watched a lot of fancams, especially during your military service at the Ground Forces Festival. You wore a short-sleeved shirt, and your biceps looked great with your short hair while singing. It was really impressive."
