BLACKPINK is confirmed to make a full comeback on February 27.
On January 15, YG Entertainment announced on their official blog the release of 'BLACKPINK 3rd MINI ALBUM [DEADLINE]'. The announcement was accompanied by a striking motion graphic using the group's signature colors, marking the start of their comeback promotions.
A streak of pink light rapidly cut through the darkness, leaving a trail, while a racing sound gradually intensified, creating a thrilling sense of anticipation. The release of their third mini album is officially set for February 27 at 1 PM.
The album title, 'DEADLINE', is the same as their ongoing world tour, which began last July at the Goyang Sports Complex, marking the first performance by a K-pop girl group at the venue. This comeback is expected to be the grand finale of their journey, shared with global fans through laughter and tears.
Having consistently set numerous K-pop records and established themselves as a top global girl group, BLACKPINK's new album is anticipated to make a significant impact. Their digital single 'JUMP', released last year, achieved their third No. 1 on the Billboard Global 200, setting a new record for K-pop girl groups.
Previously, YG Entertainment reported that major album work, including the music video shoot, was completed early, with efforts focused on maximizing quality. YG expressed gratitude to fans for their patience, promising to repay them with high-quality music and asking for continued interest.
BLACKPINK is currently engaging with fans worldwide through their 'BLACKPINK WORLD TOUR ', covering 16 cities with 33 shows. They are set to perform at the Tokyo Dome in Japan from January 16 to 18, and will conclude the tour at the Kai Tak Stadium in Hong Kong on January 24, 25, and 26.
