Japanese entertainer Takuya has revealed his shocking family history.
On the October 10th episode of KBS2TV's 'Mr. House Husband Season 2,' Takuya shared his family story for the first time.
During the broadcast, Takuya confessed the family struggles he had kept hidden for years. He revealed that he had concealed his 15-year struggle as an unknown artist from his family, who believed he was a superstar in Korea, to avoid worrying them. Takuya reflected on his childhood with his sister, Terada Momoka, and shared the pain of moving and changing schools multiple times due to his parents' divorce.
Takuya also detailed the complex family dynamics involving his two sisters. His older sister, Momoka, shares the same biological father, while his youngest sister is a half-sibling from his mother's remarriage. Takuya recalled that his biological father left when he was in third grade, and his stepfather naturally took his place. He shared how living apart from his mother and adapting to new environments was a significant emotional burden at a young age.
Takuya expressed gratitude towards his stepfather, who treated him like his own son, which helped him suppress his longing for his biological father. He admitted that he avoided mentioning his biological father to spare his stepfather's feelings, but looking at childhood photos made him curious about the man who took those pictures. Takuya shared a poignant memory of hiding in the trunk of his father's car, begging to be taken along, only to be left behind with the words, "You stay here."
Though Takuya has forgotten his biological father's face over the years, he learned through an aunt that his father is still alive and expressed a willingness to meet him. Takuya tearfully conveyed his desire to show his father the person he has become, hoping that he might be watching from somewhere.
