According to the weekly chart released by Viu, Asia's largest pan-regional OTT platform, for the first week of January (December 29 - January 4), SBS's Friday-Saturday drama 'Taxi Driver 3' ranked first in major Southeast Asian countries such as Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand, and Singapore.
In particular, it has maintained the number one spot for seven consecutive weeks since its release in Indonesia, Thailand, and the Philippines, continuing its long-term success. In Thailand, the subtitled version ranked first, while the dubbed version came in second. Additionally, seasons 1 and 2 have re-entered the top ranks of the charts in various countries, marking a significant achievement for the series.
The 'Taxi Driver' series follows the story of the mysterious Rainbow Taxi Company and taxi driver Kim Do-gi (played by Lee Je-hoon) as they carry out revenge on behalf of wronged victims. Each season has been met with consistent support from viewers due to its intense narrative and exhilarating plot, and season 3 is continuing this trend of popularity.
Meanwhile, Viu, operated by Hong Kong's PCCW, is Asia's largest pan-regional OTT platform, providing Korean content to diverse regions including Asia, the Middle East, and Africa.
