On the 5th, Chef Ahn shared a heartfelt message on his social media, along with a photo of himself with Ahn Sung-ki. He wrote, “National actor Ahn Sung-ki! We will forever remember you in our hearts with the warm smile you always had. It was a pleasure and I am grateful.”
Ahn Sung-ki, who had been battling blood cancer, passed away at 9 a.m. on this day in the intensive care unit of Soonchunhyang University Hospital in Yongsan-gu, Seoul, surrounded by his family. He was 74 years old.
Ahn Sung-ki's memorial will be held at Room 31 of the Seoul St. Mary's Hospital Funeral Hall. The funeral service is scheduled for January 9th at 6 a.m. His final resting place will be Byeolgeurida in Yangpyeong.
