Girls' Generation's Hyoyeon candidly addressed questions about being the top earner in the group.
On the 11th episode of MBN and Channel S's variety show 'Jeon Hyun-moo Plan 3,'(전현무계획3) aired on the 26th, Jeon Hyun-moo and KwakTube (Kwak Joon-bin) embarked on a culinary trip in Gyeongju, joined by Girls' Generation's Hyoyeon.
During the show, when KwakTube asked, "Who pays for meals among the Girls' Generation members?" Jeon Hyun-moo speculated, "Hyoyeon should pay. She earns the most." However, Hyoyeon surprised everyone by responding, "I think Yoona and Taeyeon earn more than me," contradicting Jeon Hyun-moo's assumption.
Hyoyeon shared that they usually meet on special occasions, saying, "We meet on birthdays or similar events, and the person who suggests meeting pays." She added, "We care for each other like long-time partners," highlighting their strong 18-year friendship.
Furthermore, Hyoyeon revealed that the group has never fought since their debut. She reminisced, "When Yoona was filming dramas and only had 2-3 hours of sleep, we would stay up and chat until she returned, and then she would head back to filming," expressing nostalgia for their Girls' Generation days.
Meanwhile, Yoona made headlines in October 2018 for purchasing a building in Cheongdam-dong, Gangnam-gu, for 10 billion won (approximately $6.93 million). A nearby building was sold for 17.2 million won per square meter in June 2023, suggesting Yoona's building is now valued at over 25 billion won(approximately $17.3 million).
