On December 12, an interview was conducted with Jeon Do-yeon, who plays Yoon-soo in Netflix's 'The Price of Confession,' at a café in Samcheong-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul. Jeon appeared with a fresh look, sporting a medium-length layered cut, shedding her character Yoon-soo's long permed hair, and greeted the press in a lively pink cardigan.
'The Price of Confession' is a mystery thriller that revolves around Jeon Do-yeon's character, Yoon-soo, who is accused of murdering her husband, and Kim Go-eun's mysterious character, Mo-eun, who is labeled a witch. Jeon portrays Yoon-soo, who is entangled in the murder accusation.
During the interview, Jeon expressed her concerns about the stagnant film industry, saying, "I'm worried and anxious. There's a frightening thought of what if movies disappear altogether? Audiences aren't going to theaters, and the number of films being produced has drastically decreased. Hearing that only about 10 films are set for production next year is disheartening and shocking. While dramas are great, both dramas and films should coexist."
She added, "I really want to do films. Although I'm working on a project with Director Lee Chang-dong, it's set to be released on Netflix. Of course, there are advantages to Netflix, like reaching a global audience. However, it's a bit disappointing not to see Director Lee's work on the big screen. I'm just hoping for the situation to improve."
Meanwhile, 'The Price of Confession' was released on December 5 and garnered 2.2 million views in just three days, ranking second globally in the non-English series category.
