'Zootopia 2', the animated film that has held the number one spot at the box office for three consecutive weeks, has become the highest-grossing film of 2025 as of its 23rd day in theaters on the 18th, attracting 5.71 million viewers.
According to the Korean Film Council's integrated computer network for movie tickets, 'Zootopia 2' reached a cumulative audience of 5,710,867 as of the 18th, surpassing the 5,681,456 viewers of 'Demon Slayer: Mugen Train'. This achievement not only crowns 'Zootopia 2' as the number one film at the domestic box office in 2025 but also marks the first time a Disney animation has topped the annual box office in Korea, setting a significant record.
The film's global performance is equally impressive. As of the 15th, 'Zootopia 2' has grossed $1.136 billion globally, making it the highest-grossing Hollywood film released this year. It continues to break records worldwide, maintaining its position as the second most booked film in real-time ticket sales, just behind 'Avatar: The Way of Water', as it enters its fourth week in theaters.
'Zootopia 2' follows the thrilling adventure of Judy and Nick, the dynamic duo from Zootopia, as they chase a mysterious snake named Gary, diving into a new world and investigating perilous cases. The film is currently showing in theaters nationwide.
