SEVENTEEN member Seungkwan has taken on his first solo hosting role in a variety show since his debut.
On December 11, Seungkwan made his grand debut as a host with the first episode of 'Boo Seungkwan's Bibbidi Bobbidi-Boo,' released on the YouTube channel 117. The show draws its title from the magical incantation in the classic animation 'Cinderella.' The concept of the show is that 'MC Bboo' grants any wish of the guests.
Standing in front of the camera, Seungkwan expressed his excitement, saying, "I am deeply moved that so many staff members have put their heart and soul into preparing this program just for me. I am very excited," while humorously adding, "Now I can attend the 'Baeksang Arts Awards' and 'Blue Dragon Series Awards' for variety shows."
In the first episode, Seungkwan welcomed Stray Kids member LEE KNOW as his first guest, creating a relaxed atmosphere reminiscent of chatting with a friend. He showcased his extensive industry knowledge, living up to his nickname 'K-pop Associate Professor,' and shared some of the minor challenges he faces as a seasoned artist.
Seungkwan's attempts to make desserts for his guest, only to end up receiving help, and his overly competitive nature in games added a humorous touch to the show. At the end of the broadcast, Seungkwan adorably requested, "I think I was very nervous because it was the first episode. Please look kindly on any awkwardness," leaving viewers eager for more of 'MC Bboo's' upgraded performances.
Meanwhile, SEVENTEEN is currently heating up Japan's four major domes with their 'SEVENTEEN WORLD TOUR [NEW_] IN JAPAN.' Following their performance on December 11, they will take the stage at Tokyo Dome again today (December 12) to meet local fans. The tour will continue at Fukuoka PayPay Dome on December 20-21.
