Koyote's Shinji Speaks Out on 'Young+Forty' Controversy
Koyote member Shinji has candidly shared her thoughts on the 'Young+Forty' controversy.

In a video posted on her channel 'How's Shinji?!?' on the 10th, Shinji expressed discomfort with the term 'Young+Forty' while introducing a pair of character slippers she received as a gift.

Shinji remarked, "These days, if you wear something with Mickey on it, they call you 'Young+Forty'. It's something I've always liked, so why label it as 'Young+Forty'?" She continued, "I feel like 'Young+Forty' is creating a generational divide, and I don't like it. It wasn't a negative term before, but now it's being used in a derogatory way."

The term 'Young+Forty' has recently become a hot topic in online communities. About a decade ago, it was a trendy term used to describe people in their 40s who were fashion-forward and maintained a youthful vibe. However, it has since evolved into a term used to mock those who try too hard to appear young.

Shinji also referenced a recent broadcast. She said, "On 'Curious Story Y', they brought together people in their 20s and 30s with 'Young+Forty' individuals. It was meant to foster understanding, but in my view, they didn't really understand each other."

Despite this, she calmly expressed her belief, saying, "In time, people will realize that being forty isn't old."

Meanwhile, Shinji is set to marry singer Moon Won, who is seven years her junior, next year.
