Actor Lee Jung-ha to Enlist in South Korean Marine Corps in January


Actor Lee Jung-ha is set to enlist in the Marine Corps in January next year.

On the 3rd, Lee Jung-ha's agency, Namooactors Entertainment, announced, "Lee Jung-ha applied to the Marine Corps and recently received a notification of acceptance. He will enter the Marine Corps training camp on January 26th to fulfill his national defense duties." They added, "As the enlistment day will be attended by many military personnel and their families, there will be no official event held."

Namooactors Entertainment also expressed their gratitude, saying, "We deeply appreciate the unwavering love and support for Lee Jung-ha. We ask for your warm encouragement until the day he returns, having grown even more after completing his service."

Lee Jung-ha is expected to serve for approximately 18 months and will be discharged on July 25, 2027. Previously, Lee Jung-ha gained significant popularity for his role as Kim Bong-seok in the 2023 Disney+ original series 'Moving.' Although 'Moving 2' was scheduled for production next year, Lee Jung-ha will not be able to participate due to his military enlistment.

Meanwhile, Lee Jung-ha is currently appearing in the Coupang Play and Genie TV drama 'Heroes Next Door.'
