Disney's animated film 'Zootopia 2' has claimed the top spot at the box office on its opening day.
According to the Integrated Computer Network for Movie Tickets, 'Zootopia 2' attracted 309,210 viewers on its debut on the 26th, surpassing 'Wicked: For Good' and 'Now You See Me 3' to secure the number one position at the box office. This impressive figure significantly exceeds the opening day numbers of other well-received Disney sequels like 'Moana 2' (196,876 viewers) and 'Inside Out 2' (194,831 viewers). It also marks a nearly ninefold increase compared to the original 'Zootopia's opening score of 35,604 viewers. Additionally, this achievement ranks as the second-highest opening score for a Disney animated film, following 'Frozen 2,' which drew 606,618 viewers on its first day. This underscores the anticipation and love from audiences for 'Zootopia 2.' Furthermore, the film has received critical acclaim, boasting a 94% Fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes and a 98% score on CGV's Egg Index, indicating strong positive reception and promising future box office performance.
'Zootopia 2' is currently showing in theaters nationwide.
