Actress Eunjung and Lee Jang-woo, who once played a 'virtual couple,' have reunited before their real-life weddings.
On the 16th, Eunjung's YouTube channel featured a video titled 'We (Separately) Got Married (feat. Friendship Couple Lee Jang-woo).'
In the video, Eunjung met Lee Jang-woo at a jokbal restaurant in Jangchung-dong, a place they visited 14 years ago. The two had formed a special bond while living as a virtual couple on the 2011 MBC variety show 'We Got Married.'
Eunjung presented Lee Jang-woo with a wedding gift and invitation, to which Lee Jang-woo responded with just an invitation, jokingly saying, "Isn't it customary to just call it even when the weddings are similar?"
Lee Jang-woo praised Eunjung's fiancé, director Kim Byung-woo, saying, "I'm a huge fan of the director. Watching 'The Terror Live,' I thought he was a genius."
Eunjung's marriage news was revealed through an article without any dating rumors. Lee Jang-woo shared, "My mom told me about your marriage. She said, 'Eunjung is getting married,' and when I read the article, I thought you matched well with Director Kim. I thought it was a false report or maybe you were pregnant."
He continued, "I thought you were suddenly getting married, so I told my mom, 'Eunjung might be pregnant.' Even after talking to you on the phone, I was suspicious for a while." Eunjung smiled and said, "That blessing hasn't come yet."
At 38, Eunjung revealed, "I have drama schedules until next year, so I thought I should get married this year. I'm already considered an older mother. I want to have a baby." Lee Jang-woo encouraged her, saying, "Getting married is a good decision. You've been in the entertainment industry for 20 years. That's enough. Let's do something good for the country."
Lee Jang-woo admitted, "I heard you were dating someone, and I thought it was a male actor. You gave off that vibe. When you said 'a bit immature,' I thought, 'Eunjung shouldn't date a younger male actor if she wants to live well.' I thought I should meet him once. When I heard about your marriage to Director Kim, I thought you broke up and met him in a hurry, either because you were pregnant or heartbroken."
Eunjung mentioned their 'parallel theory' article, saying, "I'm marrying someone 8 years older, and you're marrying someone 8 years younger, both in November," highlighting their special connection. She promised, "They say it's not good for the bride to go anywhere before the wedding, but I'll definitely come." Lee Jang-woo reassured her, "If you're worried about that, you don't have to come."
Meanwhile, Eunjung will marry director Kim Byung-woo at a hotel in Seoul on the 30th. Lee Jang-woo will marry actress Jo Hye-won, who is 8 years younger, on the 23rd in Seoul.
