Choi Woo-shik and Jung So-min have officially become a married couple.
In the 12th episode of SBS's 'Would You Marry Me?' (directed by Song Hyun-wook and Hwan In-hyuk, written by Lee Ha-na), which aired on the night of the 15th, the wedding scene of Kim Woo-joo (played by Choi Woo-shik) and Yoo Merry (played by Jung So-min) was depicted.
During the episode, Yoo Merry's former fiancé, Kim Woo-joo (played by Seo Bum-june), attempted to seek revenge by announcing a press conference to reveal secrets. However, his plans were thwarted by an unexpected figure. Botte Department Store's CEO Lee Sung-woo (played by Park Yeon-woo), fearing the exposure of his involvement in the Botte Palace lobby scandal, quickly mobilized his legal team to stop Kim Woo-joo's press conference. The legal team threatened Kim Woo-joo with a defamation and business obstruction lawsuit, demanding 10 billion won in damages, leaving him shocked and in tears, unable to proceed with his revelations.
Arriving late to the scene and witnessing the situation, Yoo Merry told Kim Woo-joo, "I hope you find happiness," and expressed her desire for him to move on from the past, ultimately bidding him a complete farewell. Yoo Merry promptly submitted annulment papers at the district office and moved out of Botte Palace without hesitation, returning to her daily life.
However, Kim Woo-joo and Yoo Merry's relationship faced new challenges. On the day Chairman Go Pil-nyeon (played by Chung Ae-rie) contacted Yoo Merry after being discharged from the hospital, Kim Woo-joo's mother, Chun Eun-sook (played by Kim Young-joo), and sister, Kim Jin-hwa (played by Moon Seung-yu), visited Chairman Go first and disparaged Yoo Merry by revealing her divorce. Consequently, Chairman Go canceled her meeting with Yoo Merry and summoned only Kim Woo-joo, questioning him about Yoo Merry's divorce. Kim Woo-joo eventually confessed the truth about their fake marriage and the Botte Palace scandal.
After a period of infrequent meetings, Yoo Merry and Kim Woo-joo shared a meal together, during which Yoo Merry overheard Kim Woo-joo pleading with Chairman Go to reconsider. Yoo Merry, lost in thought at a playground, received a call from Kim Woo-joo and tried to resolve the situation by saying, "It's okay if they're against it; don't struggle in the middle." However, Kim Woo-joo clarified that he was asking Chairman Go to reconsider appointing him as the head of Myungsoon-dang, not about Yoo Merry. He expressed his determination to correct Yoo Merry's misunderstanding, ultimately gaining Chairman Go's approval for their marriage.
Chairman Go's approval was also influenced by Kim Woo-joo's aunt, Kim Mi-yeon (played by Baek Ji-won), and cousin, Jang Eung-soo (played by Go Geon-han), who conveyed Yoo Merry's mother, Oh Young-sook's (played by Yoon Bok-in), warm and resilient nature to Chairman Go. Eventually, Kim Woo-joo proposed to Yoo Merry with a jade ring from his grandmother, kneeling down, and Yoo Merry accepted, sharing a joyful kiss.
With Kim Woo-joo taking the position of Myungsoon-dang's head, the couple postponed their wedding. A year later, they held an outdoor wedding ceremony amidst the congratulations of many. Kim Woo-joo's declaration of "I love you" was met with Yoo Merry's "Me too," as she beamed with happiness. Meanwhile, Yoo Merry's mother, Oh Young-sook's side dish shop, became a hit on social media thanks to her sister Yoo Sori's marketing efforts, and Baek Sang-hyun (played by Bae Na-ra) reunited with Yoon Jin-kyung (played by Shin Seul-gi) after acknowledging his past mistakes, leading to a happy ending for all.
