2025 MAMA Awards to Go Global with Star-Studded Lineup in Hong Kong

The organizers of the '2025 MAMA Awards' have announced their plans for a global event.

On the 11th, a press premiere for the '2025 MAMA Awards' was held at the CJ ENM Talent Studio in Sangam-dong, Seoul. The event was attended by Park Chan-wook, Head of the Convention Business Division, along with producers Lee Young-joo and Ma Doo-sik.

The 2025 MAMA Awards will kick off on the 28th at the Kai Tak Stadium in Hong Kong and will continue until the 29th. Park Bo-gum will host the first day, while Kim Hye-soo will take the stage as host on the second day.

The 'MAMA Awards' have previously faced criticism for neglecting domestic fans by hosting events overseas. Addressing this, Park Chan-wook stated, "Mnet has a vision of creating a world united by music. With this vision, we first held a global event in 2010 and have since traveled to various countries to meet K-pop fans worldwide and promote the globalization of K-pop."

He further added, "We are creating an awards ceremony that connects with more K-pop fans through live digital streaming. Although we held the event domestically during the COVID-19 pandemic, we are now aiming for a more global reach."

This year's ceremony will feature the concept of 'UH-HEUNG,' symbolizing a fearless embrace of one's identity across diverse regions, races, and cultures.

Performers on the first day include Alphadriveone, Babymonster, Boynextdoor, Beomjeop, Enhypen, Heartstohearts, (G)I-DLE, IVE, Miyao, Mirror, NCT Wish, Super Junior, Treasure, and Tours. The second day will feature Aespa, Allday Project, Cortis, G-Dragon, Idit, Izna, JO1, Kickflip, Kyoka, RIIZE, Stray Kids, Tomorrow X Together, and Zerobaseone.
