On her YouTube channel 'Kim Sook TV', a video titled 'Kim Sook Conquers Wulingyuan... Showcasing 50-Year-Old Joints on a Trekking Tour (ft. Shim Jin-hwa, Author Lee Hwa-sun)' was uploaded.
In the video, Kim Sook embarks on a friendship journey to Zhangjiajie, China, with her dear friends Shim Jin-hwa and Lee Hwa-sun. This trip marks her 50th birthday celebration. Kim Sook shared that this is not her first milestone trip; she previously traveled to Saipan at 30 and Laos at 40.
The itinerary in Zhangjiajie included Tianzi Mountain, the Glass Bridge, the First Bridge Under Heaven, and the Bailong Elevator. The trio enjoyed endless walks and conversations. Shim Jin-hwa reminisced, "When we first met, we were all in our 20s."
Kim Sook added, "In nearly 30 years, we've never had a fight," and humorously noted, "We've never borrowed money from each other." Lee Hwa-sun chimed in, "Actually, I did borrow money once. When I got married, Kim Sook lent me money for a deposit." Kim Sook didn't recall the incident.
Kim Sook responded, "Did I really? I think it was about 40 million won." Lee Hwa-sun added, "That 40 million won became the foundation for us to become real estate moguls." Kim Sook also shared her thoughts on Shim Jin-hwa, saying, "Her strength is lifting the mood; she could cure anyone's depression."
Kim Sook humorously pointed out Shim Jin-hwa's habit of posting their whereabouts on Instagram in real-time, which once led to a friend, Song Eun-yi, discovering their secret outing.
