Epik High humorously suggested recruiting new members for BIGBANG during a recent appearance on the YouTube channel 'Jipdaeseong'.
On October 31, a video titled 'GD Likes This Video. Taeyang Dislikes This Video' was uploaded to the channel.
In the video, Daesung joined Epik High members Tablo, Mithra, and Tukutz. Before any formal greetings, the Epik High members bombarded Daesung with questions about a BIGBANG comeback. Daesung explained, "We don't have any songs prepared yet. We'll start with activities at Coachella next year."
Regarding the BIGBANG album, Daesung added, "It depends on G-Dragon's plan," but Tablo confidently stated, "There's no way BIGBANG hasn't prepared anything," bringing laughter.
Epik High remarked, "Wasn't BIGBANG the idol group that combined K-pop and hip-hop? We're competing with you as a hip-hop K-pop trio," expressing their competitive spirit.
To avoid overlapping the trio concept, Tablo suggested, "Hold auditions to recruit one or two more members for BIGBANG," to which Tukutz jokingly proposed, "Why not just merge with us?"
Daesung replied, "That might be better," but added, "Tell GD about it." Tablo responded, "If we talk to Jiyong, it's impossible," and Mithra lamented, "We have no excuse to meet GD."
Tukutz revealed, "Jiyong just hits the like button and leaves," causing laughter. Mithra added, "There's a rumor that Jiyong hits the like button 10,000 times a day," resonating with the group.
Daesung exposed GD's active social media presence, sharing, "When we were making 'Look at Me, Gwisun', we couldn't reach him because he was busy liking posts. Kush said if you like his post, he'll call you."
Meanwhile, Tablo reminisced about their time at YG Entertainment, saying, "We were at YG for 7-9 years, but when people think of YG, they only remember Se7en, Jinusean, Gummy, and BIGBANG. It was disappointing," adding, "I understood why people disliked YG back then. I would have disliked it too if I weren't part of YG."
Tablo expressed gratitude for the success of YG artists like BIGBANG, 2NE1, Epik High, PSY, and BLACKPINK, recalling, "During the MAMA awards, it was all YG artists. Thanks to BIGBANG, we survived for five years."
