Kang Ha-neul Opens Up About Filming Challenges in 'First Ride'
Actor Kang Ha-neul shared his experiences of the challenges faced during filming.

On the 24th, an interview with Kang Ha-neul was conducted at a café in Samcheong-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul, regarding his new movie 'First Ride'. Kang, familiar with the press, appeared comfortably in casual training attire.

'First Ride' is a comedy that follows a group of friends on their first overseas trip together, leading to unpredictable chaos. Kang Ha-neul plays the role of Tae-jung, a model student who scored perfectly on his college entrance exam.

Given the film's theme of a friends' overseas trip, 'First Ride' was shot on location in Thailand. The crew endured nearly a month of filming in sweltering heat, with temperatures reaching up to 104 degrees Fahrenheit.

Kang Ha-neul remarked, "If there was one stress factor, it was the unbearable heat. There was nowhere to escape. It would cool down when it rained, but once the sun came out, it was scorching. The rain would dry up in just 10 minutes."

He added, "We filmed on the beach wearing mesh clothing, and I got sunburned in the pattern of the mesh. The staff also complained of dizziness due to salt deficiency," he joked, "With my long hair, I felt like tearing it out. I thought it might be cooler to have no hair, like Yeong-seok, who was bald."

'First Ride' is set to premiere in theaters nationwide on the 29th.
