MBC's variety show 'The Wonder Coach' became a hot topic after ranking first in the 2049 viewership ratings for all Sunday programs during its fourth episode. According to the FunDex Report: K-Content Competitiveness Analysis by Good Data Corporation, it also secured the top spot for non-drama Sunday TV-OTT buzz in the third week of October, with Kim Yeon-koung herself ranking first in cast buzz, maintaining its soaring popularity.
The volleyball legend's first foray into directing and the heartfelt growth story of the Pilseung Wonder Dogs(필승 원더독스) have resonated deeply with viewers, leading to a flood of requests for an extended season, with comments like "I wish the season would continue" and "I must see this team's next game." In response, MBC has decided to expand the originally planned eight episodes of 'The Wonder Coach' to nine.
The extended episode will feature the final match of Director Kim Yeon-koung and the Pilseung Wonder Dogs, showcasing their strengthened teamwork, the players' passion, and Kim Yeon-koung's sincere leadership.
'The Wonder Coach' airs every Sunday at 9:10 PM.
