Comedian Park Se-mi Opens Up About Cosmetic Surgery and Hilarious On-Stage Mishap

Beloved for her character 'Seo Jun Mom,' comedian Park Se-mi recently confessed to undergoing cosmetic surgery.

On the October 21st episode of SBS's variety show 'Shoes Off, Single for Men' (commonly known as 'Dolsing Four Men'), guests included In Gyo-jin, So Yi-hyun, Kim Mi-ryeo, and Park Se-mi.

Park Se-mi shared a humorous yet candid story about her childhood, saying she was considered so unattractive that her own father jokingly denied she was his child. "My dad saw my face and covered it with a blanket, saying I wasn't his," she revealed. Despite this, she noted that people would often recognize her as her father's daughter due to their striking resemblance, sharing childhood photos to illustrate her point. When asked about her cosmetic procedures, Park Se-mi admitted, "I've had a lot done. Eyes, nose, mouth—I've changed them all."

Park Se-mi also recounted a funny yet alarming incident involving her nose surgery. She explained, "A fellow comedian I worked with had a kissing scene with me. His mouth was always dirty, so I didn't want to do it. He said he'd cover it with his hand."

She continued, "When we got on stage, the audience was laughing hysterically. I noticed his eyes were wide open. During the kissing scene, he was supposed to cover my mouth with his hand, but he accidentally touched my nose instead. I heard a cracking sound." She added, "Weeks later, I noticed a strange smell coming from me. When I went to the doctor, they said the silicone support had popped out." Park Se-mi concluded by explaining, "The surgery initially made my nose higher, but now the support has been removed."
