Annie (real name Moon Seo-yoon), a member of the group ALLDAY PROJECT, has been selected as the MC for this year's MBC 'Gayo Daejejeon'.
On the 21st, a representative from her agency, The Black Label, confirmed, "Annie has been chosen as the MC for MBC's 'Gayo Daejejeon'."
Annie will be taking over the role from Girls' Generation's Yoona, who stepped down last year after a decade. She will be joining SHINee's Minho, who has been an MC for three consecutive years, and Hwang Min-hyun.
This marks Annie's first time hosting a music show or awards ceremony. Fans are eager to see how her hosting skills will compare to the charisma she displays on stage with her group.
Annie is the granddaughter of Shinsegae Group's Chairman Lee Myung-hee and the eldest daughter of President Chung Yoo-kyung. ALLDAY PROJECT has gained attention as a rare co-ed group in the Korean music scene, and Annie's involvement has sparked interest due to her background, earning her the nickname 'chaebol idol'.
ALLDAY PROJECT proved their presence by clinching the top spot on music shows with their title track 'FAMOUS', released on June 23. They are currently preparing for a comeback with a new album set for release in November.
Meanwhile, the MBC 'Gayo Daejejeon' featuring Annie as a host is scheduled to air on December 31.
