Director Hur Jin-ho's latest film 'Assassins' has announced its star-studded cast, including Yoo Hae-jin, Park Hae-il, and Lee Min-ho, as filming gets underway.
'Assassins' delves into the mystery and conspiracy behind the shocking 8.15 sniper incident in South Korea. The film began shooting in August and continues to progress.
Produced by Hive Media Corp, known for its successful films like 'Opposition', 'Spring of Seoul', 'The Man Standing Next', and 'Inside Men', 'Assassins' promises a blend of artistic merit and box office appeal, focusing on modern Korean history.
Yoo Hae-jin, a renowned actor with four films surpassing ten million viewers, including 'The Unfair', 'A Taxi Driver', 'Veteran', and 'The King and the Clown', plays a detective who witnessed the incident firsthand. His character's sharp instincts and determination are expected to bring an irreplaceable presence, heightening the film's tension and engagement.
Park Hae-il, known for his impactful roles in 'Decision to Leave', 'Hansan: Rising Dragon', and 'The Fortress', reunites with director Hur Jin-ho after 'The Last Princess'. He plays a newspaper editor determined to uncover the truth despite the dangers and pressures.
