SBS has unveiled a teaser poster featuring Lee Je-hoon for its new Friday-Saturday drama 'Taxi Driver 3'. This announcement comes approximately two and a half years after the conclusion of 'Taxi Driver 2' in April 2023.
Set to premiere on November 21, 'Taxi Driver 3' is based on a popular webtoon and follows the story of a mysterious taxi company, Rainbow Transport, and its driver, Kim Do-gi, as they seek revenge on behalf of wronged victims. The series is a private revenge drama that has captivated audiences.
The 'Taxi Driver' series has been a massive hit, ranking fifth in viewership ratings among all domestic terrestrial and cable dramas aired since 2023, with a 21% rating. It also won the Best Drama Series award at the 28th Asian Television Awards (ATA), solidifying its status as a mega-hit IP. The original cast, including Lee Je-hoon (Kim Do-gi), Kim Eui-sung (Jang Representative), Pyo Ye-jin (Go Eun), Jang Hyuk-jin (Choi Supervisor), and Bae Yoo-ram (Park Supervisor), will return, heightening anticipation for the comeback of this iconic 'K-caper drama'.
The newly released teaser poster highlights the return of the much-anticipated taxi hero, 'Driver Kim Do-gi'. In the poster, Kim Do-gi stands in front of a dazzling car headlight, exuding a powerful presence even in silhouette. His determined aura suggests he is ready to take down villains, raising viewers' excitement for his return.
The poster captures a sense of tension and anticipation. The taxi, hidden among the headlights of numerous cars, resembles a predator watching its prey, enhancing the suspense. The number '3' encircling Kim Do-gi resembles a tire skid mark, hinting at the series' signature car chase action scenes. With the return of the iconic hero, 'God Do-gi', 'Taxi Driver 3' promises to deliver exhilarating catharsis, elevating expectations for its premiere.
As a leading series in the 'K-caper' genre, 'Taxi Driver 3' is already generating buzz ahead of its premiere on November 21. The drama will also be available on Viu, Asia's largest regional OTT platform, in Asia, the Middle East, and Africa.
