Korean band Soran is set to conclude its 15-year journey as a group and transition to a solo act led by Go Young-bae.
On October 13, Soran's agency, MPMG Music, announced this significant change through their official account.
MPMG Music stated, "After long and deep discussions, the members of Soran have decided to focus on their individual music careers following the release of their upcoming EP 'DREAM' on October 17 and a concert scheduled for January 2026."
The agency further explained, "Following the conclusion of the EP 'DREAM' activities and concert schedule, Soran will transition to a solo act under Go Young-bae. We promise unwavering support for Young-bae as he continues the journey under the name 'Soran.'"
The agency expressed gratitude to members Myun-ho and Tae-wook, who have been part of Soran for the past 15 years, and wished them well in their future musical endeavors.
They also apologized to fans for the sudden news, asking for continued support and love for Myun-ho, Tae-wook, and the new solo journey of Soran and Young-bae.
The decision was not due to any internal conflict. According to Soran, the members have been contemplating their future since the departure of drummer Pyun Yoo-il and all agreed on the continuation of Soran's music. Seo Myun-ho and Lee Tae-wook supported Go Young-bae's solo transition.
Soran debuted in 2010 as a four-member band. After Pyun Yoo-il left last year, they continued as a trio. The band is set to release their new EP on October 17.
