Former S.E.S. Member Shoo Addresses Gambling and Streaming Controversies

Shoo, a former member of the popular K-pop group S.E.S., has spoken out about recent controversies surrounding her online streaming activities.

On October 10, Shoo uploaded a video titled '[Re-edited Version] The Controversial Incident... I Will Tell Everything Today (First Release)' on her YouTube channel 'Human That's Shoo.'

Shoo explained, "I previously uploaded this video but took it down due to some careless parts. I've now re-edited it more carefully for re-release. Many people have been curious about my story, and I'm cautiously sharing it again with my initial intentions."

During the video, the production team asked, "Why did you gamble?" Shoo recounted an event in Las Vegas where a friend's suggestion led her to a casino. She described how seeing others bet millions and win big influenced her to get involved.

Shoo referred to casinos as "hellish places," admitting, "It's funny that I held onto hope in such a place. I only thought about winning."

Shoo also gambled in Hong Kong and Macau, which led to issues with the 'Foreign Exchange Management Act.' She said, "It might seem ignorant, but I exchanged my money for Hong Kong dollars from my account. I didn't understand why it was a problem." Lim Hyo-sung emphasized the importance of reporting such exchanges.

Shoo confessed, "Ultimately, I did gamble. I was naive and got involved in gambling, which led to my downfall. My heart still races. I gambled, but I want to warn others to be cautious."

Lim Hyo-sung revealed that he and Shoo have been separated for some time, stating, "Even though we weren't on good terms, I received a call about her debt. They said it was 250 million won, so I managed to send 280 million won despite my financial struggles after retirement."

Following the habitual gambling controversy, Shoo attempted a comeback as a BJ (Broadcast Jockey). She admitted, "I was in a situation where I needed to pay a deposit, and I received an offer to become a BJ. I had no choice. I had to resolve issues with the contract money."

Regarding the 'exposure' controversy during her BJ activities, Shoo explained, "I didn't expect the broadcast to turn out that way. I intended it as a communication channel with fans, but I chose the wrong outfit. Cut-out fashion was trending, and it was misrepresented. I deeply regret it." She added, "Even though I wasn't receiving virtual gifts, the articles were very negative. It's funny to make excuses for it," showing a calm demeanor.
