Legendary trot singer Jin Sung and his protégés are set to perform on the 'Gayo Stage'.

On the upcoming broadcast of KBS1's music program 'Gayo Stage' on the 13th, a special episode titled 'Longing for Home' will air, marking the end of the Chuseok holiday. This episode will feature Jin Sung, a revered figure in the trot music scene, alongside younger singers who admire him, delivering a rich and heartfelt performance.

Jin Sung, who overcame a challenging childhood and years as an unknown singer, rose to fame with hits like 'At Andong Station' and 'Barley Hill', establishing himself as a beloved national trot singer. Known for his unique, soulful voice and powerful vocal delivery, he is expected to bring the ups and downs of his life to the stage in this performance.

The show will also feature tribute performances from younger singers. Trot singer Han Hye-jin, who shares a sibling-like bond with Jin Sung, will perform, along with Park Gun, who collaborated with Jin Sung on 'The Birth of a Worker'. Contestants from the 'Miss Trot' and 'Mr. Trot' series, including Jung Da-kyung, Ahn Sung-hoon, Oh Yoo-jin, and Lee Soo-yeon, who have received heartfelt advice from Jin Sung, will also appear. Additionally, Sung Min, who has consistently expressed admiration for Jin Sung, will reinterpret his iconic songs in their own styles.

KBS stated, "The heartfelt connection between Jin Sung and the younger singers will bring warmth to the audience. We hope the essence of home and music will soothe the longing felt during the holiday season."
