On October 6th, at 5:10 PM, MBC aired the '2025 Chuseok Special Idol Star Championships,' featuring a gripping shooting competition between ZEROBASEONE and RIIZE for a spot in the finals.
The episode showcased a pistol shooting match with legendary shooter Kim Jung-mi and rapid-fire pistol medalist Jo Young-jae as commentators. ZEROBASEONE and RIIZE faced off in the semifinals for a chance at the finals.
Regarding their pledges, Zhang Hao of ZEROBASEONE promised, "We'll reveal our abs during this tour." Meanwhile, RIIZE's Wonbin provocatively remarked, "Hope ZEROBASEONE doesn't hit a 'zero.'" Zhang Hao retorted, "We debuted in the same year, but did you know ZEROBASEONE is your senior in 'Idol Star Championships'?"
As the competition heated up, Zhang Hao and Shotaro went head-to-head. With the score nearly tied, they each had one shot left. In the crucial third round, Shotaro scored 7.6, while Zhang Hao scored 6.2.
To tie, Zhang Hao needed to win the remaining two shots. He scored 8.7, while Shotaro scored 4.3, narrowing the gap. The score stood at ZEROBASEONE with 8 points and RIIZE with 10 points. In the final shot, Zhang Hao scored 9.3, but Shotaro edged out with 9.5, securing the victory.
Commentator Jo Young-jae noted, "In shooting, it's often easier to follow from behind, so ZEROBASEONE might have had an advantage." However, with Shotaro's win, RIIZE's other members need to score well to secure a stable entry into the finals.
