Actor and 2PM member Lee Junho recently opened up about his past experiences of performing on stage despite suffering from severe injuries.
On October 5, the YouTube channel 'Fairy Jaehyung' released a video titled 'When Did You Grow Up So Much?' featuring Lee Junho from 2PM.
During the episode, Jung Jaehyung mentioned, "Jang Wooyoung said, 'Junho is a Teto.'" To this, Lee Junho responded, "Does Wooyoung use such words? In my view, Wooyoung is the macho one."
Acknowledging his similar personality to Jang Wooyoung, Lee Junho explained, "Wooyoung is more affectionate and caring. I have a lot of affection, but I'm not as warm. While Wooyoung is the type to think things through, I'm the type to dive in headfirst," emphasizing his proactive and goal-driven nature.
Recalling his past, Lee Junho shared, "Due to a comment from JYP (Park Jin-young), I performed high-difficulty acrobatics and pyramid formations. My shoulder was torn apart, and I had to make eight holes to stitch it up. Tearing ligaments was a given."
He further revealed, "I had herniated discs in my third and fifth vertebrae, and my fourth vertebra was actually broken. During rehearsals, I had a severe headache and collapsed. I couldn't get up. The hospital said, 'Your spine is broken, and you need to wear a brace.'"
Despite the severe injuries and wearing a brace, Lee Junho attended an overseas concert the next day. He stated, "I had to go on stage. It's a promise. Once the music plays, my body starts moving. The adrenaline reduces the pain. After the performance, I would go down and move in a wheelchair. I thought, 'If I don't do this, what else can I do? How can I watch a stage without me?'"
Reflecting on his school days, Lee Junho shared that he had a passion for acting before pursuing a singing career. "When 2PM members started acting, I thought, 'My turn will come someday.' I also wanted to do it when I could do it well," he said.
Addressing the prejudices faced when transitioning from an idol or singer to an actor, Lee Junho expressed, "If I appear in a project when I'm not ready, it could negatively impact the team and, on a larger scale, harm other singers. I didn't want that." He emphasized, "2PM is also my face."
