Kangta from the legendary K-pop group H.O.T. shared his candid thoughts on the resemblance between himself and a character from Netflix's animated series 'K-Pop Demon Hunters'.
On October 28, the members of H.O.T. appeared together on JTBC's 'Newsroom', marking their first full-group broadcast in seven years. During the show, anchor Anna Kyung mentioned their early greeting style, 'Hot', which Moon Hee-joon humorously recalled as something they changed after a couple of weeks on the advice of Lee Soo-man.
The broadcast highlighted that the fictional group 'Lion Boys' in 'K-Pop Demon Hunters' was inspired by H.O.T. The members expressed their surprise and gratitude, stating, "We were so shocked. We didn't expect the director to reveal it himself. We would love to meet him someday."
Kangta admitted, "At first, I didn't think we were the models," but after hearing the director's comments, he noticed the resemblance in the hairstyles of Woo-hyuk and Hee-joon. Jang Woo-hyuk added, "There's a member with a mysterious vibe, which seemed modeled after me."
When it was mentioned that the main vocalist Jin-woo resembles Kangta, he humorously remarked, "Before the director mentioned it, I thought of Cha Eun-woo." Anchor Anna Kyung jokingly asked if that meant he resembled Cha Eun-woo, to which Moon Hee-joon quipped, "You're sharp. You've caught the intention precisely."
As the members playfully teased him, Kangta waved it off, saying, "That's a setup," and emphasized, "Jin-woo is closer to Cha Eun-woo. I'm not," drawing laughter from the group.
