On the 23rd, a video titled 'There’s Always a Reason for Being Cut Off [New Woman] EP.06 Cut Off' was uploaded to the YouTube channel Rolling Thunder. The video featured Jo Hye-ryun and fellow comedian Lee Kyung-sil discussing the topic of cutting ties.
When asked if there was anyone she wanted to cut ties with, Jo looked at Lee and replied, "In life, there are such people. I've cut ties with some, and so have others with me. That's why we came together again." When the host asked if they knew each other's cut-off people, Jo humorously responded, "I met someone new because I cut ties."
Both Lee Kyung-sil and Jo Hye-ryun have remarried, which was the context of their conversation. Lee appeared flustered by the sudden mention of ex-husbands, saying, "Oh, that cut-off..." Jo laughed, adding, "Someone said 'New Woman' is quite bold, but we manage to navigate it well."
Jo also revealed that she cut ties with a writer from 'Sebakwi.' She explained, "Ji Seung-ah was a writer for 'Sebakwi.' One day, she contacted me saying she was creating a program with Lee Kyung-sil. I wasn't in a position to join, so I asked her not to pressure me. Then she came to see a play with the PD."
Feeling overwhelmed by the direct approach, Jo said, "I hadn't sorted out my feelings yet. We had plans with Park Mi-sun, and it wasn't resolved." Lee nodded, understanding the situation, "Because you originally planned to do something elsewhere with the three of you?"
Jo concluded, "But persistently... (still) I'm glad I did 'New Woman.'" She added, "It's great being with Mi-sun and the three of us. When we appeared on 'Hangout with Yoo' without a script, it was so much fun."
