Singer Jung Won-kwan expressed his sorrow while reminiscing about the late NRG member, Kim Hwan-sung.
On the 16th, a video titled "Singer Jung Won-kwan Episode 5 (Finally thought 'G Cafe' would be No. 1)" was uploaded on Song Seung-hwan's channel 'Song Seung-hwan's Wonderful Life.'
In the video, Jung Won-kwan shared his experiences of producing albums while being active in broadcasting. He mentioned, "There were 20 comedians in our company. Popular figures like Jung Sun-hee, Kim Jin-soo, Go Myung-hwan, Moon Chun-sik, and Son Heon-soo were all part of our agency. That was in the early 2000s."
He continued, "Before that, Tae-hyung and I produced the group Hamo Hamo before NRG, and we worked on NRG's second album before becoming independent."
Jung Won-kwan revealed, "After NRG's first album, one of the members suddenly passed away. He had a cold and had his wisdom teeth removed, which led to an infection and sepsis, and he died within three days." He confessed, "After experiencing that, I was so devastated that I took a break from the entertainment business."
On June 15, 2000, member Kim Hwan-sung suddenly passed away due to an unknown viral acute respiratory illness, shocking fans. At the time, Kim Hwan-sung was only 19 years old.
