Actor Kwon Sang-woo recently opened up about his experience of solo parenting while his wife, Son Tae-young, was away.
On the 16th, the YouTube channel 'Mrs. New Jersey Son Tae-young' featured a video titled 'The State of the House After Son Tae-young Leaves for 3 Days (Kwon Sang-woo's Parenting Experience)'.
In the video, Son Tae-young returned to New Jersey after wrapping up her luxurious solo trip to Miami. Due to a flight delay, she ended up having a late-night snack, expressing her surprise, "It's my first time eating a late-night snack at 11 PM."
Kwon Sang-woo expressed his excitement, saying, "It's been a while since I've been to a pub. Son Tae-young usually wants to go to bed early, so I haven't been able to come."
While Son Tae-young enjoyed her solo trip, Kwon Sang-woo took on the challenge of 'solo parenting'. He shared, "It was really tough without my wife. I had to prepare lunch and dinner for the kids, do the dishes, clean, and drive them to their lessons." He added, "I didn't even have two hours to rest."
When Son Tae-young asked, "Can I go on another trip?" Kwon Sang-woo humorously replied, "Can't you see how tired I look? No way," eliciting laughter.
The next day, upon checking the state of the house, Son Tae-young remarked, "I was going to clean, but the house isn't too messy. Just a bit of clutter on the floor... I guess the kids did that," showing her overall satisfaction.
She continued, "There's some sticky stuff on the floor, but that's about it. It's not too bad, but things aren't in their usual order. It's that feeling only a homemaker would know," as she began tidying up and returning to her routine.
Meanwhile, Son Tae-young married actor Kwon Sang-woo in 2008, and they have a son and a daughter. Recently, she has been living in the U.S. for their children's education, while Kwon Sang-woo travels between Korea and the U.S. to be with his family.
