Starship Entertainment's latest boy group, IDID, is setting itself apart in the competitive world of rookie boy bands.
IDID, consisting of members Jang Yong-hoon, Kim Min-jae, Park Won-bin, Choo Yoo-chan, Park Sung-hyun, Baek Joon-hyuk, and Jung Se-min, held a media showcase on the 15th at Yes24 Live Hall in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul, to celebrate the release of their debut mini-album, 'I did it.'
In a year that has already seen the debut of new boy groups like Cortis and Kickflip, IDID's unique appeal was highlighted by member Park Sung-hyun, who stated, "Our biggest charm is our ability to present something familiar yet fresh and new." He added, "With an average age of 18, we aim to be a unique group that combines youthful romance with performance and hip-hop. We want to showcase young and vibrant energy."
Jang Yong-hoon emphasized, "The strength of IDID lies in our enjoyment. Even before our official debut, we gained diverse stage experience through music shows and overseas performances. This allowed us to realize how enjoyable it is to connect with fans while singing and dancing on stage. Our strength is in conveying that joy to the audience."
IDID is Starship Entertainment's first boy group in five years since Cravity. The group was formed through Starship's own survival program, 'Debut's Plan,' and consists of seven members. The name IDID reflects their determination to achieve anything through effort. Their title track, 'Brilliantly As I Please,' captures a free and energetic vibe, featuring a lively sound driven by acoustic guitar and rhythmic drums, complemented by the members' refreshing vocals, showcasing IDID's youthful energy.
IDID's debut album, 'I did it.,' will be released on various online music platforms at 6 PM today.
