Former Lawyer and TV Personality Seo Dong-joo Shares Her Journey to Joining a Top U.S. Law Firm

Seo Dong-joo, a former lawyer turned TV personality, recently shared her story of joining one of the 'Top 5 Law Firms' in the U.S. and revealed her reasons for becoming a lawyer.

On the October 14th episode of KBS2TV's variety show 'The Boss Has Donkey Ears,' Seo appeared as a special guest, discussing her experiences working at a prestigious U.S. law firm and her life as a lawyer.

During the show, Seo revealed that she worked at one of the top five law firms in the U.S. for five years and continued to work remotely after returning to Korea. She candidly admitted, "I didn't become a lawyer because of a big dream; honestly, it was to make a living. I needed a stable income," surprising the show's hosts.

Seo also shared that she failed her first bar exam attempt but succeeded on her second try after just six months of preparation. She explained, "In the U.S., you have to study both state and federal laws, which makes the scope of study broad. It was challenging because it varies by state."

When host Park Myung-soo asked if she was popular in college, Seo reminisced about her university days, admitting, "Honestly, I was popular. I even earned the nickname 'Asian Paris Hilton,'" capturing the audience's attention.

Meanwhile, Seo Dong-joo married a non-celebrity four years her junior in June. She recently announced on her YouTube channel that she is preparing for a child through IVF, garnering significant interest.
