Project Y Shines at Toronto International Film Festival with World Premiere

The film 'Project Y', officially invited to the Special Presentation section of the 50th Toronto International Film Festival, had its world premiere with director Lee Hwan and actors Han So-hee and Jun Jong-seo in attendance. Han So-hee dazzled in a peach-colored shirred dress, while Jun Jong-seo showcased elegance in a mermaid-line see-through lace dress.

'Project Y' tells the story of Mi-seon and Do-kyung, who, having nothing but each other, attempt to escape their harsh reality by stealing hidden black money and gold bars. The film had its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival, which runs from September 4th to 14th, with director Lee Hwan and actors Han So-hee and Jun Jong-seo present.

Before the first premiere screening, director Lee Hwan and actors Han So-hee and Jun Jong-seo graced the red carpet amidst a warm welcome and flashes from festival fans. The arrival of Han So-hee and Jun Jong-seo heightened the excitement at the venue. They engaged warmly with fans, signing autographs and posing for photos.

The first premiere screening took place at the Princess of Wales Theatre, one of the largest venues at the festival with a seating capacity of 1,721. Following the screening, a Q&A session was held with director Lee Hwan and actors Han So-hee and Jun Jong-seo engaging in a dialogue with the audience.

Director Lee Hwan explained his casting choices, stating, "Both Han So-hee and Jun Jong-seo are often associated with a girl-crush image, but I believed they could pleasantly surprise audiences by showing a different side of themselves. They are icons of the current era, receiving immense public support, and I wanted to work with them." Han So-hee, who plays Mi-seon, shared her reason for joining the film, "The script was incredibly engaging. It was intriguing to have two actresses of the same age and gender share the screen." Jun Jong-seo, who portrays Do-kyung, added, "It was a perfect opportunity with a great script, director, and production team, alongside a fellow actress of the same age. I was eager to be part of it."

Following its premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival, 'Project Y' will be showcased at the Busan International Film Festival before being released to domestic audiences.
