Lisa of BLACKPINK Wins Best K-Pop at 2025 MTV VMAs with 'Born Again'

BLACKPINK's Lisa has clinched the Best K-Pop award at the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs).

The ceremony, held at the UBS Arena in New York on the 8th, saw Lisa take home the trophy for her pre-release single 'Born Again' from her first full-length album 'Alter Ego'. The track features collaborations with pop stars Doja Cat and RAYE.

Lisa has made history as the first solo artist to win the Best K-Pop category three times. She previously won in 2022 with 'LALISA' and in 2023 with 'ROCKSTAR', before her latest win with 'Born Again'.

Although Lisa was not present at the event, she expressed her gratitude via a video message, saying, "Hello everyone, this is Lisa. I'm so honored to be receiving this award. I want to thank Doja Cat and RAYE for making this song special, and our fans for everything."

The Best K-Pop category featured nominations from all BLACKPINK members. Rosé was nominated for 'Toxic Till the End', Jennie for 'Like Jennie', and Jisoo for 'Earthquake'. Other nominees included aespa's 'Whiplash', BTS's Jimin with 'Who', and Stray Kids' 'Chk Chk Boom'.

Lisa is set to perform with BLACKPINK at their full-group world tour 'Deadline', which will take place at the Kaohsiung Stadium in Taiwan on October 18th.
