Actor Choo Young-woo has been awarded the Seoul Tourism Foundation CEO Award.
On the 28th of last month, Choo Young-woo received the 'Seoul Tourism Foundation CEO Award' at the '7th Newsis Hallyu Expo (2025 K-Expo)' held at the Lotte Hotel in Sogong-dong, Seoul.
The 'Seoul Tourism Foundation CEO Award' is presented to new faces of the Hallyu wave, recognizing artists who have contributed to the spread of Hallyu and enhanced Seoul's reputation as a hub of Korean culture.
Choo Young-woo expressed his heartfelt gratitude, saying, "I am delighted and honored to receive such a meaningful award alongside many wonderful individuals from various fields. As someone who cherishes and loves Korean popular culture and arts, it is truly significant to have contributed, even in a small way, to the Hallyu wave. I will continue to work hard to fulfill my responsibilities and grow as an actor who can positively influence others."
This year, Choo Young-woo has proven his wide acting range with a series of successful projects, starting with JTBC's 'The Tale of Mrs. Ok', followed by Netflix series 'Trauma Center', 'Square', and tvN's 'Gyeonwoo and Seonnyeo'. His solid acting skills, combined with public appeal and buzz, have established him as a leading actor.
In particular, Choo Young-woo captivated audiences with his recent performance in 'Gyeonwoo and Seonnyeo', showcasing his ability to switch between characters with different expressions, tones, and mannerisms, earning him widespread acclaim.
Meanwhile, Choo Young-woo is set to kick off his Asia fan meeting tour, '2025 CHOO YOUNG WOO ASIA FANMEETING TOUR 'Who (is) Choo?'', with a sold-out show on September 6th at KBS Arena in Gangseo-gu, Seoul.
