Ryu Kyung-soo Showcases Friendship with Park Bo-young on 'Handsome Guys'

Actor Ryu Kyung-soo proudly showcased his friendship with Park Bo-young.

On the 38th episode of tvN's 'Handsome Guys' aired on Thursday, Cha Tae-hyun, Kim Dong-hyun, Lee Yi-kyung, Shin Seung-ho, and Oh Sang-wook were joined by webtoon artist and broadcaster Kim Poong and actor Ryu Kyung-soo as guests. The episode featured their culinary adventures in Bundang, recommending lunch and dinner menus.

From the start, Kim Poong and Ryu Kyung-soo displayed their unique wit and personalities. During introductions, Kim Poong humorously questioned his own career, saying, "I really don't know what I do," leading Kim Dong-hyun to ask, "What exactly do you do? When did you become a chef?" Kim Poong replied, "I've never been a chef. I'm just a 'show cooker,'" causing laughter. Despite his protests, the 'Handsome Guys' members teased him, calling him a chef whenever he shared his extensive food knowledge.

During the lunch menu selection, Cha Tae-hyun, Kim Dong-hyun, Lee Yi-kyung, and Ryu Kyung-soo chose 'Indian food,' while Shin Seung-ho, Oh Sang-wook, and Kim Poong opted for 'Thai food.' Both restaurants were renowned for their five-star hotel chefs, exciting everyone. The first stop was an Indian restaurant. Kim Poong humorously lamented his situation, saying, "I look so pathetic," as he watched others enjoy the food. He even picked up curry that Ryu Kyung-soo dropped on his pants, adding to the laughter.

The members playfully restricted Kim Poong's attempts to mooch food, with Ryu Kyung-soo joining in on the fun. Frustrated, Kim Poong sneakily tasted 'coriander sauce' with his pinky finger and disguised it with a 'soda pop' dance, causing more laughter.

At the 'Thai food restaurant,' Kim Poong's woes continued. Despite his struggles, Cha Tae-hyun and Ryu Kyung-soo boldly devoured a dish of Phat Phong Curry, leaving Kim Poong to complain, "You were so harsh with me earlier," eliciting more laughs.

During a café break, Kim Poong, dubbed 'Pumba Brother' due to his outfit, humorously accepted the nickname, saying, "I look like someone from a flea market." He even mispronounced 'Einspänner' as 'Einspäin,' losing his usual eloquence. He lamented, "Being here makes me feel downgraded." He continued his streak of misfortune by being one of the last two in a 'reverse song quiz' to determine who would pay for dessert.

The dinner menu featured seasonal southern Korean cuisine. As they enjoyed delicacies like Deokja sashimi and eel shabu-shabu, Cha Tae-hyun received a call from Park Bo-young, sparking interest. Park Bo-young showcased her close friendship with Ryu Kyung-soo, who affectionately called her 'Pobly.' She explained, "He calls me 'Pobly' without any feelings," highlighting their genuine friendship.

The final game to decide who would pay for dinner was 'Say It in a Row.' The members were shocked by the bill of 666,000 won, joking about the 'devil's number.' Ryu Kyung-soo humorously suggested, "I see 'Poong Poong Poong' instead of '666,'" hinting at Kim Poong's fate. As predicted, Kim Dong-hyun, Kim Poong, and Cha Tae-hyun made mistakes, leading to their defeat against the production team. The game turned into an individual battle, with the 'weakest brothers' Cha Tae-hyun, Kim Dong-hyun, and Kim Poong hilariously fighting for easier spots.

Before the final showdown, Ryu Kyung-soo handed the bill to Kim Poong, reigniting the 'Kim Poong scapegoat theory.' As predicted, Kim Poong ended up paying, exclaiming, "Kyung-soo, you set this up! I was just playing along," ending the meal adventure with laughter. The preview for the next episode showed the 'Handsome Guys' heading on a mysterious trip, raising anticipation.
