Sayuri Apologizes for Homework Controversy Involving Her Son Zen

Sayuri has issued an apology regarding the controversy over her son Zen's homework.

On her YouTube channel, a video titled 'Sayuri Explains Why She Doesn't Make Her Child Do Homework...' was uploaded.

In the video, Sayuri officially apologized and expressed her regret following the 'homework refusal' remarks controversy.

Sayuri, responding to the production team's questions, said, "I'm truly sorry," and admitted, "I didn't expect this to happen, and I made a mistake." She added, "Watching the video again, I realized I looked brazen when I confidently said, 'I don't do it.' It didn't look good even to me. I asked the teacher to 'please understand,' and the teacher was okay with it, but I didn't consider the kindergarten's rules. I've learned a lot from this incident."

Previously, Sayuri mentioned on a broadcast that regarding her son Zen's education, she had sent a letter to the teacher saying, "My son never does homework, and I'm proud of him for that, so please don't send any homework." This statement quickly sparked controversy online.

She also acknowledged, "While it's not illegal, it seems I've caused a big stir after a long time," and reiterated, "It's entirely my fault, and I'm sorry."

Her manager also commented, "That one remark has been difficult for her," adding, "It's not a downfall, but the atmosphere isn't good, and ultimately, what she feels is important." Sayuri's mother appeared in the video, pointing out, "Sayuri not doing homework well was her father's fault for saying 'You don't have to do homework,'" and emphasized, "Homework is meant to support children." Sayuri described this controversy as "a process of my growth" and vowed to show respect for rules and etiquette in the future.
