Her father recalled the moment Jo Hyun Ah first called him 'dad,' saying, "I was overwhelmed. It felt like I gained two daughters at once." When asked about Jo Hyun Ah's mother's last words, he began, "During the final days of her illness," and the scene of Jo Hyun Ah and her father shedding tears together was shown, sparking curiosity.

Jo Hyun Ah's mother passed away after battling a brain tumor. Previously, Jo Hyun Ah shared on a variety show, "After my mother passed away, I couldn't do anything. She died suddenly nine months after being diagnosed with a brain tumor. It was during the COVID-19 pandemic, and being a singer felt meaningless. I thought, 'If I meet people and laugh and talk, it will give me meaning,' so I started appearing on shows. Remembering that brought tears to my eyes."
