BigHit Music's new boy group, CORTIS, has made their debut with valuable advice from their senior labelmates, BTS and TXT.
CORTIS, consisting of members Martin, James, Juhoon, Seonghyeon, and Keonho, held a media showcase for their debut album 'COLOR OUTSIDE THE LINES' at the Blue Square SOL Travel Hall in Yongsan-gu, Seoul, on the 18th.
CORTIS is the third group introduced by BigHit Music, following the global success of BTS in 2013 and TXT in 2019. Both BTS and TXT offered insightful advice to their juniors, CORTIS, as they prepared for their debut.
Sunghyun shared, "We had several opportunities to meet with BTS and TXT seniors. BTS encouraged us by saying, 'We hope you do well.' We also performed for TXT, who gave us practical feedback, especially on expressions and other detailed aspects."
Martin added, "We met BTS seniors at J-Hope's concert. They advised us to never take things for granted, to be grateful, and to grow with humility. Their support has been a great motivation for us, and I want to take this opportunity to express our gratitude."
The title track 'What You Want' blends the nostalgic guitar riffs of 1960s psychedelic rock with a hip-hop-based boom bap rhythm, offering a fresh sound. The five teenage members confidently declare their determination to achieve their desires. They showcase their creative talents in songwriting, composing, performing, and videography, drawing from their own stories.
CORTIS's debut album title track 'What You Want' will be released at 6 PM today.
